Joyce began their career as a Technical Writer and Editor at Insight Global in 2011, where they wrote, edited, and published technical manuals for Special Operations Forces Deployable Nodes Satellite.

Joyce'searliest known work experience was as a Project Manager-Federal Realty and Property Management at T.A. Consulting, Inc. to National Guard Bureau, Headquarters Air National Guard, Civil Engineering from 2001 to 2008. In this role, they led real property initiatives for an extensive portfolio of ANG bases and administered funding for various projects.

Prior to that, they completed a Master's Degree in Information Systems Management and Information Security from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, between 2011 and 2015. In 2010, Joyce earned an Executive Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business.

Joyce'seducational journey also includes a Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) from the University of South Florida in 2010. In 2005, they obtained a Master of Science degree, as well as a Master of Aeronautical Science degree, specializing in Aeronautical Aviation/Aerospace Management and Safety, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Earlier, in 1997, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics, with a focus on Aerospace, Aviation Management and Safety, from the same institution.

Joyce's educational foundation began at the Community College of the Air Force, where they received an AS degree in Journeyman and Team Leader. Joyce'sfield of study at this time included Electronics/Electronic Warfare Systems, Avionics Systems, and Flight Simulator Systems Technology.
