Amoolya Singh

Amoolya Singh has extensive work experience in the scientific and research fields. Amoolya is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at GRAIL since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Lattice Automation, Inc. as an Advisor from February 2017. Amoolya held various roles at Calico Life Sciences, including Head of Discovery Technologies (CTO) from November 2020 to June 2022 and Head of Computing from June 2019 to November 2020. From 2011 to 2019, they served as the Vice President at Amyris Inc. Amoolya also worked as a Research Consultant at Protigen, Inc. from 2005 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Computational & Life Sciences Fellow at Emory University from February 2009 to April 2011, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory from March 2006 to December 2008, and a Scientific Tour Guide at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 2003 to 2006. Amoolya also worked as a Research Intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the Environmental Microbiology Division from June 2004 to August 2004. Amoolya started their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Ericsson Research from June 2000 to May 2002. Amoolya Singh's education history includes graduating as the Class Valedictorian from Rishi Valley School between 1985 and 1992. After that, Amoolya attended Carnegie Mellon University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Computer Science. Later, Amoolya pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Master's degree in Computer Science. Finally, Amoolya completed their education at the same institution by obtaining a Ph.D. in Computational Biology.
