Sugi Ramachandran

Sugi Ramachandran has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director and New Products Lead at GRAIL since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Roche starting from 2015, where they held the position of Director/Project Leader for Oncology Assays. In this role, they played a strategic partner role on the leadership team for the Cervical Cancer Lifecycle (CxCa LC) and was responsible for translating the business vision into quality product launches. During their time at Roche, they led diverse teams and successfully launched multiple high medical value products. Before joining Roche, they worked at QIAGEN in two separate periods. From 2013 to 2014, they served as the Global Development Lead for Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) and was responsible for establishing a center of excellence for MDx System Integration in North America. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, they held the position of Associate Director and Manager for System Integration MDx and Product Development respectively. At QIAGEN, they received the QIAGEN Innovation Award for developing the CareHPV system, a simplified and affordable HPV DNA test. Ramachandran's earlier work experience includes roles at Life Technologies as a Research Scientist from 1999 to 2001 and at Malladi Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited as a Research Scientist from 1994 to 1995.
