Bijaya Kumar Panigrahy

Bijaya Kumar Panigrahy has been working with us as a Thematic Coordinator for Village Institution & Convergence programme for 29 years. Currently, he supervises the Dambapur canal reconstruction work. Before joining Gram Vikas he was working with the Social Forestry Range Office in Digapahandi, Ganjam district for four years as Central Nursery Supervisor.

He joined Gram Vikas in 1991 as Supervisor for the Central Nursery in Mohuda. He has worked on the social forestry programme in Rayagada block, education, health, women empowerment and sustainable livelihood under the Integrated Tribal Development Programme in Karadasing, Gajapati district till 2005. After that he oversaw maintenance of the dairy and vegetable farm in the Mohuda campus. In 2009, he was assigned as Project Accountant in Karadasing. From 2018, he was working on Forest Right Act and has contributed his efforts on Cyclone Titli Rehabilitation Cash for work programme.

Bijaya pursued a Bachelor in Arts from Samantiapalli Mahavidyalaya under Berhampur University in 1984.
