Marcelo Alt

Marcelo Alt has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Marcelo is currently the Head of Design at Grana Capital. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Design at Vivadí education, where they played a key role in replacing the legacy educational platform and delivering a new production stable version to existing users. Marcelo conducted user research and analyzed user behavior to enhance the user experience for approximately 30,000 students.

Marcelo Alt is also the co-founder and Design Lead at VOA educação, an Edtech company focused on socioemotional assessment and learning for k12 students. Marcelo was involved in various aspects of the company, including naming, branding, marketing, research, planning, prototyping, and designing the digital product. VOA educação raised more than R$ 1MM in funding and impacted over 10,000 students in several schools.

Additionally, Marcelo Alt has experience as a Lecturer at the Istituto Europeo di Design, where they taught graphic design and digital project courses. Marcelo guided students through learning layout concepts, tools, prototyping, and mentored them in creating their projects.

Earlier in their career, Marcelo Alt was a Partner and Creative Director at Caos! vìdeo & design. This design studio specialized in developing innovative digital, motion, and visual projects. Marcelo led numerous high-impact website projects, including the creation of visual interactive archives for renowned contributors to Brazilian culture.

Marcelo Alt's education history begins in 2000 when they attended Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, pursuing a degree in Informática. However, they did not complete this degree as they ended their studies in 2001. In 2002, Marcelo Alt returned to Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, where they studied Desenho Industrial and successfully obtained their degree in 2007. Additionally, in 2005, they briefly attended the University of Alberta, focusing on Visual Communication Design.
