Lissa James

Chief Quality Improvement Officer/ Wellness Champion at GRAND Mental Health

Working as a psychiatric attendant at Eastern State Hospital in Vinita at age 17 led to Lissa’s decision to focus on mental health. Today, she has nearly 52 years’ experience in the mental health field, spending that last almost 45 years with GRAND Mental Health in positions from outpatient therapist, satellite coordinator, county administrator, and regional administrator to children’s program director, clinical director, integrated health director, and chief compliance officer.

In her current role, Lissa oversees CQI, compliance, medical records, legal, policy and procedure, and clinical auditing across the entire GRAND Mental Health organization.

Lissa is a licensed professional counselor and has received both the CW Ramana Award honoring her 25 years of service to children and Case Manager Supervisor of the Year Award.
