Martin A. Colburn is the City Manager for the City of Traverse City. The City Manager is appointed by the City Commission and is the chief administrative officer for the City. The Manager has a variety of duties including administering the City departments, budgeting, infrastructure development and advising the Commission on issues that come before the City. Before coming to Traverse City, Mr. Colburn worked as the City Administrator in Mason, Michigan for sixteen years. He has 25 years of city management experience working in Michigan, Wyoming, and Arizona. Mr. Colburn also worked on the congressional staff of the US House and Senate, and served with the Arizona National Guard for 9 years.
