Laila M.

Laila M. is an Assistant Professor at Grand Valley State University, a position held since August 2021. Previously, Laila served as an Assistant Professor of College Student Personnel and Instructor in the College Student Personnel Program at Western Illinois University from August 2018 to July 2021. Laila's experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Iowa from August 2015 to May 2019, where responsibilities included assisting with the Emory Integrity Project and providing support as an On Call Dean during crises. Laila also advised various committees within the Fraternity & Sorority Life Programs at the University of Iowa. Laila holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Iowa, a Master of Education in Counseling from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from DePaul University.
