Megan Davies

Megan Davies is the HR Coordinator at Granify. Megan has also worked as a Wildfire Dispatcher for the Government of Alberta and as a Podcast Host for the Canadian Wildlife Federation / Fédération canadienne de la faune.

Megan is a skilled communicator with a passion for environmental conservation. As a Wildfire Dispatcher, they maintained meticulous records which allowed other emergency personnel to have access to time-sensitive data. Megan also processed wildfire resource requests and time sheets of hundreds of contract aircraft as well as initiating and terminating those contracts. In addition, Megan handled important calls from stakeholders and the public, providing updated and current information to ensure all parties had the necessary awareness to make informed decisions.

As a Podcast Host, Megan created biweekly podcasts interviewing various experts in the field of environmental conservation and sustainability in order to inspire others to conserve. Megan edited audio files to create entertaining and engaging episodes for public listeners. Megan also managed all details of the podcast including show format, scheduling guests, social media posts, and episode content. Megan engaged with the guests in an encouraging and enthusiastic way which led to positive feedback from all guests after the recording sessions.

Megan’s skills and experience make their an asset to any organization. Her dedication to their work and their commitment to environmental conservation inspire those around her.

Megan Davies has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta where they majored in Biology and minored in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. Megan also has certification from the Outdoor Council of Canada as a Field Leader (Hiking), certification from the Worksite Safety Compliance Centre in Pandemic Awareness, certification from the Canadian Red Cross in First Aid & AED/CPR Level C, certification from the Worksite Safety Compliance Centre in Bear Awareness, and certification from the Worksite Safety Compliance Centre in WHMIS 2015. Lastly, Megan is a #RisingYouth Grantee and Alumni from TakingITGlobal.
