Alyssa Horton has a diverse range of experience in the field of addiction and behavioral health. Alyssa began their career as a Recovery Aide/Unit Clerk at Gosnold, Inc. in 2009, where they facilitated non-clinical groups and provided support to patients. In 2012, they transitioned to the role of Admissions Representative, handling incoming calls and assessing patient needs for medical or clinical oversight. From 2013 to 2015, Alyssa worked as a Recovery Coach at Gosnold, Inc., marketing to potential patients and providing ongoing case management and support.

In 2015, Alyssa joined Recovering Champions, Inc. as a Support Staff Supervisor, responsible for curriculum development, training, and supervision. Alyssa later took on the role of Aftercare Director and Outreach Coordinator, building and managing the alumni program and establishing relationships with referral resources.

Alyssa's experience expanded further in 2018 when they became a Radio Show Co-Host at Crosscheck Substance Abuse Radio, where they interviewed guests and worked to break the stigma surrounding substance use disorder and mental health.
