Laurie Roper began their career in 1994 as a Shift Manager at McDonald's Corporation, where they managed daily shift operations and trained and supervised a staff of 30 employees. In 2000, they became a Title Clerk at Toyota, where they handled telephone inquiries, customer service issues and billing functions. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Lab Associate at Shuster Laboratories, where they performed testing of foods using a salt analyzer, fat NMR, protein analyzer, Brookfield and Bostwick viscometers in the Chemistry Department. From 2007 to 2008, they were a ChemistAnalyst at Alpha Analytical, where they conducted testing as an analyst in the wet chemistry department of the environmental testing labs. Laurie then worked as an Application Engineer at RSCC Aerospace and Defense from 2008 to 2013, where they prioritized orders for cables received from sales and created the Bill of Materials. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Project Manager at Intertech Corporation, where they worked with vendors to ensure lowest pricing for customer requests and got legal documents such as apostille's and power of attorney's completed with the NH Secretary of State. Finally, they have been a Program Manager at Granite State Manufacturing since 2020.

Laurie Roper obtained their Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Ocean Engineering from the University of Rhode Island between 1998 and 2005. Between 2007 and 2009, they completed a Certificate of Advanced Study in Clinical Investigation from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Laurie later earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management from Southern New Hampshire University between 2013 and 2016. Additionally, they are a Massachusetts Realtor certified by the Association of Realtors.
