Shona joined Grant Thornton in 2008 as a manager. Shona provides solutions to financial services clients within the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) business unit. This business unit offers global organisations centralized solutions around financial reporting, statutory accounting, outsourcing finance processes, payroll and corporate compliance as well as interim staffing solutions to support clients’ in-house teams, from the hub in Ireland.

Since joining Grant Thornton she has led projects across the financial service industry including in asset management, banking, insurance and payment service providers specializing in providing centrally coordinated global outsourced accounting and reporting engagements delivering efficient solutions for clients.

Shona has a 360 degree view of the financial services industry with 20 years experience across industry, regulation and professional services including prior to joining Grant Thornton several years with a global fund administration institution where she held a number of roles across fund accounting and product management. She also completed a secondment with the Central Bank of Ireland where she worked in the Consumer Protection department of the Financial Regulator including leading a project investigating retail banking charges and has also led outsourced inspections on behalf of the Central Bank of Ireland.
