Lucy Matheson has a rich and diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lucy started their career as a Consultant at Sheffield Consulting Group in 1998 and later moved to ANZ, where they held multiple roles including Organisational Development Manager and New Zealand Change Manager. In 2006, they joined Westpac New Zealand Limited as the Head of Leadership. Lucy then worked at the Ministry of Social Development as an HR Director in various capacities before taking up the role of General Manager, People and Customer at the Greater Wellington Regional Council. Lucy also served as the General Manager, People and Safety at Landcorp Farming Ltd. In 2018, Lucy founded 26Seasons and served as the Founder, People & Brand Ambassador. Lucy then worked as a Consultant at im jai Consulting before joining Grant Thornton New Zealand Ltd as the Chief Operating Officer in 2022.
Lucy Matheson attended the University of Otago from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General. During the same period, they also earned a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from the same university.
