Tea Slater has a diverse range of work experience. They began working as a Brandeis India Initiative Fellow at The Dove Foundation in 2014. They then became an Office Assistant at Lemberg Children's Center and a Healthy Start Brooklyn Intern at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in 2015. In 2016, Tea worked as a Student Caller and Project Manager at Brandeis University, as well as a Food Access Fellow at the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute. They also served as a Housing Clinic Leader at WATCH CDC from 2015 to 2016, and as a Food Justice Community Organizer/Project Assistant at HOPE Collaborative from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, Tea worked as a Study Coordinator at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and a Project Associate at JSI | John Snow, Inc. Currently, Tea is a Project Coordinator at Grapevine Health, starting in 2022.
Tea Slater completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Public Health Communication and Marketing at The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health: Science, Society, and Policy from Brandeis University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Tea also possesses a certification in CPR.
