Angel Torres

Angel Torres has work experience in various fields, starting with their current role as a Quality Control Scientist at GrapheneDx since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Ph.D. Researcher at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from August 2016 to August 2022. In this role, they developed and optimized methods for synthesizing graphene and graphene nanoribbons, characterized electronic properties of thin films, and collaborated on projects related to semiconducting materials, resulting in patents and publications. Before pursuing their Ph.D., they worked at P.F. Chang's, where they held multiple positions, including Hospitality Lead, Bartender, and Food Server. In these roles, they managed a restaurant, resolved conflicts with guests, and led a team to meet targets and improve efficiency.

Angel Torres pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from California State University Channel Islands from 2014 to 2016. Following this, Angel continued their education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry from 2016 to 2022.
