Sarah Nagata

Sarah Nagata has extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry, specializing in cloud computing solutions. Sarah has worked for Grass Valley as a Director of Sales - Strategic Accounts, partnering with major media brands to provide technology solutions for their media centers and streaming platforms. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Sr. Solutions Architect - Global M&E, designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for clients in the media industry.

Before joining AWS, Sarah worked at ViacomCBS as a Director of Video Software Engineering, leading a team to deliver low latency live streaming for Super Bowl 55. Sarah also served as a Director, Cloud Architecture at ViacomCBS, where they developed cloud architectures and executed proof of concepts on AWS cloud to fulfill business requirements.

Sarah's career also includes roles at Imagine Communications as a Senior M&E Solutions Architect, where they collaborated with clients to determine their needs and designed broadcast systems. Sarah also worked as a Product Manager at Cathx Ocean, where they defined product capabilities for subsea oil pipeline inspection systems.

Additionally, Sarah has early experience in the sports industry as an Instant Replay Technician at the National Football League (NFL), and in the broadcast engineering field as a Senior Broadcast Pre-Sales Engineer at Harris Corporation and as an Applications Engineer & Regional Sales Manager at Nevion.

Sarah Nagata completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Miami from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) at California State University, Northridge from 1999 to 2002. Sarah has also obtained several certifications related to Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional in September 2022, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in September 2021, and AWS Certified Developer - Associate in December 2019. Sarah also holds certifications in AWS Partner: Cloud Economics Accreditation in 2021 and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in September 2018. Additionally, Sarah recently completed AWS Learning courses on Object Storage and Serverless from AWS in 2023. Sarah also holds the title of Authorized Instructor from Amazon Web Services.
