Trevor Francis has a diverse and extensive work experience. Trevor began their career in 1978 at the British Broadcasting Corporation as a videotape recording engineer, transitioning to videotape editing. Trevor then joined Independent Television News in 1982, initially as a videotape editor before eventually becoming a Resources Manager. During their time there, they gained 15 years of news editing experience, both in London and on-location worldwide, and spent three years leading a large editing team. In 1996, Francis moved on to ITN LTD, where they served as a Resources Manager until 2000. Trevor then joined Snell Advanced Media as a Director of Production Systems in 2000. Francis later joined Grass Valley in 2018 as a Business Development Manager, before advancing to the roles of Director, Indirect Product Strategy and Director of Business Development. As of 2024, they are semi-retired.
Trevor Francis attended Langley Park School in Beckenham from 1970 to 1977. In 1977, they enrolled at City of London Polytechnic to pursue a degree in Accountancy, which they completed in 1978. From 1978 to 1981, they attended the BBC Engineering Training Centre, specializing in Broadcast Engineering.
