Abdel A.

Abdel A. has a diverse work experience. Most recently, they worked as a Data QA Engineer at Grata starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at KoBold Metals, where they held multiple roles. As a Data Engineer from November 2021 to September 2022, Abdel implemented scalable data validation methods and built and deployed ML models. Abdel also served as an Associate Data Scientist from November 2019 to November 2021, where they increased team productivity and data reliability through various methods, including geospatial analysis and anomaly detection. Before joining KoBold Metals, Abdel worked at the University of Pennsylvania as a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant from August 2018 to August 2019. In these roles, they conducted research, managed grants, and assisted with teaching undergraduate courses. Prior to that, Abdel gained experience as a Research Intern at Rodale Institute, an Environmental Scientist at Dresdner Robin, and a Staff Scientist at Renova Environmental Services. Abdel also worked as a Research Technician in the Soil Physics Lab at Rutgers University from February 2012 to September 2013. Throughout their various positions, Abdel has demonstrated a strong background in data analysis, research, and environmental science.

Abdel A. completed their Bachelor of Sciences in Environmental Sciences with a Pollution Science option at Rutgers University from 2010 to 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science in Applied Geosciences with a focus on Hydrology at the University of Pennsylvania from 2016 to 2018. In addition, Abdel obtained a certification in HAZWOPER from OSHA in November 2012.
