Charlie Barr has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and biotech industry. Charlie is currently the Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of Adaptic Health, where they focus on accelerating treatments through better clinical trial design, particularly for rare diseases and oncology. Charlie is involved in strategic planning, defining scientific needs and solutions, and aligning with the product roadmap.

Prior to Adaptic Health, Charlie worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Graticule, Inc., where they provided medical leadership. Charlie was also a Partner and Chief Scientist at Unlock, where they utilized their clinical and technology knowledge to support client engagements in the digital health, medical devices, biotech, and wellness tech sectors.

Charlie Barr's education history begins in 1969 when they attended Pacific Union College, where they obtained a BS degree in Biophysics and Chemistry. They then went on to attend Loma Linda University from 1973 to 1977, where they obtained an MD and MPH, studying Medicine, Nutrition, and Public Health. In 1985, Charlie Barr enrolled at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health as a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student, specializing in Biomedical Computing with minors in Biostatistics and Health Policy & Management. At the same time, from 1985 to 1988, they worked as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, specifically at Brigham & Women's Hospital under the supervision of Robert A. Greenes, MD, PhD, in the Decision Systems Group.
