Gary Hernishin

Gary Hernishin, CIA has over 30 years of work experience in the casino and gaming industry. Gary started their career at Hilton Nevada Corp. in 1989, where they held various roles including Internal Auditor and Assistant Casino Controller. At Hilton Nevada Corp., they managed several departments and ensured compliance with gaming regulations.

In 1999, Gary joined Arthur Andersen, LLP as an Experienced Senior Auditor. Gary worked at Arthur Andersen, LLP for three years before transitioning to Las Vegas Sands Corp. in 2002. At Las Vegas Sands Corp., Gary served as the Global Gaming Director - Internal Audit. In this role, they oversaw internal audit projects for the company's properties in the US and Asia, developed audit plans and programs, and maintained relationships with management and regulators.

In 2013, Gary joined Graton Resort & Casino as the Internal Audit Manager. Gary was later promoted to Director of Compliance. In these positions, Gary directed the planning, completion, and review of internal audit projects for Graton Resort & Casino, ensured compliance with gaming control standards, and managed the internal audit department.

Throughout their career, Gary has demonstrated expertise in internal audit, compliance, and maintaining relationships with regulators.

Gary Hernishin, CIA completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management from Oregon State University between 1986 and 1989. Gary also holds a certification as a Certified Internal Auditor, although specific details regarding the institution and time of completion remain unknown.
