Bill Tandy

Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer at Gravitics

Bill Tandy is currently the Chief Engineer and Lead Systems Engineer at Gravitics. Bill has also been Mission Architect & Sr. Manager, Advanced Programs - Architecture at Blue Origin and Mission Architect at Ball Aerospace.

Tandy has over 900 hours of in-flight instrument operations time and is TS/SCI cleared with SSBI and CI polygraph. Bill has experience in concept development, team building, legal frameworks, schedule and budgeting, customer/partner development, research project leadership, and algorithms. Tandy has also worked with databases, cloud platforms, neural networks, and other "cutting-edge" approaches to processing data. Their experience also includes working with structures & dynamics for space structures such as MOIRE, JWST, OMPS/LIMB, Worldview, NPP, Kepler, New Horizons, and GEMS/TEMPO.

Bill Tandy earned their PhD in Aerospace Remote Sensing from the University of Colorado Boulder. Bill also holds an MS in Aerospace from The University of Texas at Austin, and a BS in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
