Ashonti Ford

Ashonti Ford is an accomplished National Correspondent for Gray Television, providing coverage on significant topics from The White House and The Capitol since July 2023. Prior to this role, Ashonti served as a News Reporter for the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, where responsibilities included pitching and reporting on international stories while mentoring K-12 students in crisis reporting since January 2020. Ashonti's extensive experience includes reporting for Bay News 9 in the Tampa Bay Market, and previously at Atlanta Black Star, focusing on positive African American narratives, as well as working with various news organizations such as WDAF-TV FOX4, WAND-TV, KSNW-TV, and WMDT-Television Channel 47. Ashonti's early career included roles as an On Air Personality at Dash Radio and an intern at KMIR 6 News. A graduate of San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, Ashonti has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement and comprehensive news reporting throughout the career trajectory.
