Deborah McDonald

Deborah McDonald has a diverse range of work experience. From 2015 to the present, they have worked at GBMC HealthCare as a Lead Certified Registered Medical Assistant. Their responsibilities at this role included preparing patients for examinations, taking medical histories, assisting physicians during examinations, explaining medical procedures to patients, calling in prescriptions to pharmacies, collecting laboratory specimens, sterilizing medical instruments, and maintaining patient medical records. Deborah also collaborated with staff to pilot new ideas and solutions to improve quality and service enhancements. Additionally, Deborah worked as a COVID-19 Rapid Tester from March 2020 to August 2020.

Prior to that, they earned a Medical Assistant Certification from TESST College of Technology-Baltimore in 2003-2004. In addition, they hold additional certifications such as Registered Medical Assistant from AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology (obtained in 2021) and Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (obtained in 2004).
