Diana Zarzuelo

Diana Zarzuelo has a diverse work experience that spans over many years. Diana currently holds the position of Vice President of Community Philanthropy at the Greater Houston Community Foundation since February 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of Community Philanthropy at the same organization from February 2019 to February 2021.

Diana also worked as the Senior Director of Strategy & Innovation at BakerRipley from June 2014 to January 2019. Diana briefly held the position of Director of Public Policy, Program Planning, and Evaluation at BakerRipley from February 2014 to June 2014.

In addition to their roles in the non-profit sector, Diana has also collaborated with various institutions. Diana worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston-Downtown in August 2015. Diana also served as a Policy Advisor at the Domestic Policy Council in The White House from January 2012 to September 2013. Earlier, they were a Graduate Intern at the Domestic Policy Council of The White House for a short period from May 2011 to July 2011.

Diana's career started at CHILDREN AT RISK, where they held the positions of Deputy Director from January 2008 to July 2010 and Public Policy and Project Coordinator from August 2006 to January 2008. Diana was also an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston-Downtown in September 2007. Before that, Diana worked as a Program Assistant for the Parent School Partnership Program at MALDEF from August 2006 to January 2007.

Their early experiences include being a Resident Advisor for the Living Cultures Program at the University of Pennsylvania from August 2004 to May 2006. Diana was also a Teacher for the College and Career Readiness Program at the same university from August 2005 to January 2006. Diana's involvement with education continued as a Teaching Fellow and Head of Science Department at Breakthrough Collaborative's Summerbridge Houston from May 2005 to August 2005.

Diana Zarzuelo pursued their education at the Harvard Kennedy School from 2010 to 2012. During their time there, they completed a Master of Public Policy (M.P.P) degree with a concentration in Social and Urban Policy. Before attending Harvard, Diana studied at the University of Pennsylvania from 2002 to 2006. Diana earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Psychology with a focus on Cultural Anthropology.
