Tricia Cottman has a diverse range of work experience in risk management and insurance. Tricia is currently the Vice President of Risk Management and Safety at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, overseeing risk management initiatives for Orlando International and Executive Airports. Prior to this role, they served as the Assistant Director of Safety & Risk Management at the same organization.
Before joining the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Tricia worked at Orange County Public Schools as the Senior Manager of Risk Management P&C Insurance. In this role, they managed the self-insurance program and procurement of insurance for one of the largest school districts in the United States. Tricia also oversaw claims management for various types of insurance coverage.
Tricia has also worked as an independent consultant in the field of risk management and insurance. Tricia provided consulting services to small business owners, offering analysis of risks and exposures and making recommendations for risk avoidance, transfer, and financing.
Earlier in their career, Tricia held positions at Morse Insurance Agency, Marriott Vacation Club International, Marriott International, and Marsh. Tricia'sroles included managing commercial accounts, contributing to insurance purchasing teams, negotiating policy language, and managing insurance premiums and claims.
Tricia began their career as a Claims Adjuster at Nationwide Insurance before transitioning into other areas of risk management and insurance. Tricia has a strong background in all aspects of risk management and has worked with a variety of organizations and industries.
Tricia Cottman earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Risk Management & Insurance from Florida State University, attending from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they attended Warren Hills High School from 1989 to 1990.
