Melodie Jackson

Melodie Jackson has extensive experience in the behavioral health and support services field, currently serving as a Family Specialist at the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities since January 2016 and as a Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor at GPHA since February 2013. In addition, Melodie has been active on the State Systems of Care Leadership Team since 2011, providing a family member perspective in decision-making for child services. Other roles include Certified Peer Specialist and Certified Recovery Specialist at Al-Assist Behavioral Health Care Center, where support is offered to individuals facing mental health and substance abuse challenges, including assistance for those transitioning from incarceration. Previous experience includes serving as a Parent Support Specialist at Northeast Treatment Center and various educational roles in the School District of Philadelphia from 1987 to 2000. Melodie's educational background includes studies at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and community college coursework.
