Rebecca Polvere has a diverse work experience primarily focused on engineering and project management. Rebecca is currently working as the RiverLink Owner's Engineer/Lead Principal Engineer at the Greater Wellington Regional Council since May 2022. Prior to this role, Rebecca worked as an Engineering and Project Support specialist at the same organization from January 2020 to May 2022.

Rebecca also has extensive experience as an Independent Consultant, providing engineering services to various clients since April 2016. Rebecca'sexpertise includes inspections, analysis, interpretation assessments, maintenance, operations, and project management of capital projects.

Rebecca has also worked as a Principal Dam Safety/Civil Engineer at Dam Safety Intelligence Limited from December 2021 to April 2022 and as a Senior Dam Safety Engineer/Team Leader at the same company from October 2020 to January 2022. Rebecca has previously worked as an Independent Contractor (Dam Safety Engineer) at BC Hydro from April 2016 to April 2021, where they were responsible for dam safety performance assessment and implementation.

Throughout their career, Rebecca has also gained experience in project support, facilitation, and management, including their role as the RiverLink Project Support/Facilitator/Project Manager at RiverLink (GWRC & HCC) from July 2016 to January 2020.

Rebecca's earlier experience includes working as a Civil Engineer at Beca from May 2007 to December 2009, where they were responsible for designing drainage systems for new developments. Rebecca started their career as a Dam Safety Surveillance Engineer at Damwatch Services Ltd from January 2003 to April 2007, where they gained knowledge in dam surveillance and dam safety principles.

Rebecca Polvere began their professional career as a Co-Op Facilities Engineer at Ford Motor Company from January 2001 to January 2002.

Rebecca Polvere completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Monash University, which they attended from 1997 to 2002. Rebecca has also obtained several certifications, including Chartered Professional Engineer from Engineering New Zealand, PRINCE2® 2017 Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice, and Chartered Member from Engineering New Zealand. Rebecca is also a PEng member of APEGBC.
