A.J. Charbonneau

A.J. Charbonneau has extensive work experience in the field of information and cybersecurity. Currently, they serve as the SVP & Global Chief Information Security Officer at London life / Great-West Lifeco Inc, where they are responsible for delivering financial services related to insurance, retirement, and investment services. Prior to this role, A.J. held the position of Executive Director - Group Chief Security Officer at AXA and also served as the Executive Director - Global Chief Information Security Officer at The Standard Bank of South Africa. Additionally, they have worked at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. in various executive roles, including Americas Regional Head of Group Security & Fraud and Vice President of eCommerce Technical Operations. A.J. also has experience in the military, having served as a Commander, Battalion Fire Direction Officer, and Fire Support Specialist in the Army National Guard. A.J. holds a Master's degree in Cybersecurity Management from Purdue University Global and began their career as a Combat Signaler in the US Army.

A.J. Charbonneau obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health from Illinois State University from 1992 to 1997. From 2020 to 2025, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity Management from Purdue Global. They also hold additional certifications including Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator + Security (MCSA+Security), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Fundamentals Certification, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
