Pam Podger

Pamela Podger is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in storytelling and strategic communications across various sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at Green Century Funds since March 2023, Pamela focuses on environmentally responsible investing and shareholder advocacy. Prior to this role, Pamela worked as a Communications and Marketing Consultant at Strategic Communications for over 16 years, excelling in creating engaging narratives for nonprofits and environmental organizations. Previous positions include Communications Manager at The Watershed Institute, where successful media coverage was achieved, and Communications Director at Farm & Wilderness Foundation, which resulted in increased visibility through prominent media features. Pamela's early career includes notable roles as a staff writer for The San Francisco Chronicle and The Fresno Bee, a religion writer for The Roanoke Times, and a reporter for the Associated Press and Wall Street Journal. Pamela holds an MS in Journalism from Northwestern University and a BA in English from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
