Matthew Hartman began their work experience as a Spanish Teacher in the Cresskill Board of Education from September 2007 to June 2009. Matthew related cultures of Spanish-speaking countries to those in other parts of the world and utilized various technological methods in instruction. From September 2010 to June 2012, they worked as a Spanish Teacher in the River Dell Regional School District, implementing a thematic curriculum and improving understanding of grammar concepts. In September 2012, they joined Sparta Township Public Schools as a Spanish Teacher, coordinating lesson plans and honing student skills. Matthew continued in this role until February 2013. From February 2013 to June 2015, they served as a Spanish Teacher in CARTERET PUBLIC SCHOOLS, designing lesson plans and preparing students for the end-of-year STAMP test. Matthew returned to Sparta Township Public Schools as a Spanish Teacher from June 2015 to June 2018, focusing on creating common assessments and honing student skills. Matthew then worked as a Spanish Teacher in Manchester Regional High School from September 2018 to April 2019, improving restorative discipline techniques and integrating SmartBoard technology into lessons. From October 2019 to March 2020, they worked as a Shopper in ShopRite Supermarkets. Matthew then worked as a Delivery Driver in Total Wine & More from March 2020 to April 2021. Currently, they are working as a Delivery Driver for Green Thumb Industries (GTI) starting in April 2022.

Matthew Hartman attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish Language Teacher Education. In June 2008, they also obtained a Standard Certificate - Teacher of Spanish from The State of New Jersey.
