Robert Brennan

Board Co-chair at Greenbacker Capital

Rob co-chairs the Board of Directors and focuses on the strategic development of the Firm. He joined the firm in 2017 and prior to this, was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Guggenheim Partner’s Real Estate Finance Group where he built a national commercial mortgage loan origination and asset management business responsible for nearly $10 billion of client investment portfolios. He was a principal investor in and Co-Founder of Pillar Financial, a full-service real estate platform (sold to SunTrust in 2016). Rob also served as the Global Head of Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group and previously worked at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. He began his career in 1983 in the investment banking division of E.F. Hutton. Rob earned his B.A. from UVM and his M.B.A from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
