Fai Foen

Fai Foen is an experienced professional in environmental and urban design sectors, currently serving as the Director of Green Infrastructure at The Greening of Detroit since June 2015. Fai has successfully managed significant community-based projects, including overseeing the Landscape Services Program, which employed six full-time workers and served over 80 properties. In addition to this role, Fai is involved as a Business Development Mentee at Lawrence Technological University, focusing on food waste diversion solutions. An urban design entrepreneur, Fai has led initiatives aimed at community inclusion and revitalizing public spaces, with notable contributions such as the North End Sensory Garden. Previous positions include public space designer at dPOP!, technical consultant at Parsons Corporation, and landscape designer at AguaFina Gardens International. Fai holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design.
