Jonathan Fajardo is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in community engagement and creative direction. Currently serving as the California Community Engagement Lead at GreenLatinos since 2023, Jonathan has also held significant roles such as Director of Community, Culture & Programming at Compton Community Garden from 2020 to 2024, where efforts focused on addressing ecological and social inequalities. Experience as Creative Director at Earthside from 2019 to 2024 highlights Jonathan's commitment to connecting various communities with ecological initiatives. Prior roles include Sr Brand Manager at The Shoe Surgeon, Head of Marketing at No.One, and Community Manager at Magasin. Jonathan's educational background includes a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California and dual Bachelor's degrees in Sociocultural Anthropology with an emphasis on Indigenous Studies and Journalism from California State University, Long Beach.

GreenLatinos
GreenLatinos is a national non-profit organization that convenes a broad coalition of Latino leaders committed to addressing national, regional and local environmental, natural resources and conservation issues that significantly affect the health and welfare of the Latino community in the United States. GreenLatinos provides an inclusive table at which its members establish collaborative partnerships and networks to improve the environment; protect and promote conservation of land and other natural resources; amplify the voices of minority, low-income and tribal communities; and train, mentor, and promote the current and future generations of Latino environmental leaders for the benefit of the Latino community and beyond. GreenLatinos develops and advocates for policies and programs to advance this mission.
