Lindsy Iglesias, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and research. Lindsy is currently serving as the Head of Discovery Biology at GreenLight Biosciences, where they have held several roles since 2021, including Data Gen and Assay Optimization Lead, Entomology Lead, and Discovery Entomologist. Prior to joining GreenLight Biosciences, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cornell University from 2018 to 2021. Before that, they were a Graduate Research Fellow/Assistant at the University of Florida from 2011 to 2018, where they also served as a Curriculum Development Assistant in 2011. Lindsy gained research experience as a Research Intern at the University of Florida in 2010 and as an Intern at La Finca Nueva's Permaculture School in 2009.

Lindsy Iglesias, PhD earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Entomology from the University of Florida, completing their studies from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Interdisciplinary Ecology with a focus on Entomology from the same university, studying from 2011 to 2013. Lindsy's educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Science from the University of Florida, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. Lindsy began their academic journey at Hillsborough Community College, where they received an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts/Architecture from 2004 to 2008. Apart from their formal education, Lindsy Iglesias has obtained various certifications in areas such as bioassay development and validation, team building, agriculture research management, mentoring skills, federal worker protection standards, postdoctoral leadership, and respiratory protection training.
