Sahar R. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sahar is currently employed as the Head of Corporate Strategy - Enterprise & Health Services at Green Shield Canada (GSC). In this role, they lead a team of Directors to drive enterprise strategy, develop healthcare strategies, and build strategic partnerships. Sahar also leads the digital health strategy and program management, which resulted in the launch of GreenShield+. Prior to their current position, Sahar worked at Walmart as the Head of Commercial Finance - Store Operations & Innovation, where they managed the P&L for store operations across Canada and led finance transformation and data automation efforts. Sahar also served as the Senior Director of Pharmacy Transformation and Operations at Loblaw Companies Limited, where they led digital pharmacy innovation and spearheaded the execution of the pharmacy shared services technology. Additionally, Sahar has experience in finance and investment banking from their time at Loblaw Companies Limited and the National Bank of Canada. Sahar's commitment to healthcare and innovation is further demonstrated by their involvement in the Board of Directors for the Canadian Mental Health Association Peel Dufferin and their previous role as a Senior Manager at CAMH, where they were accountable for cash flow planning and led the digital business case for a mental health digital tool. Sahar R. has a diverse education history. In 2008, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University. In 2011, they pursued a Master of Business Administration from the same institution, specializing in Finance and Public Management. In 2018, Sahar obtained their CPA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Additionally, they completed a 4-week intensive financial modeling course at the Investment Banking Institute in 2012. Recently, Sahar attended Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School in 2023 to further their knowledge in leading digital transformation and strategy delivery in healthcare. Sahar received certifications in "Leading Digital Transformation in Health Care" from Harvard Medical School and "Strategy for Health Care Delivery" from Harvard Business School. Sahar also obtained a Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification from the Canadian Securities Institute in 2009.
