Matthew Donovan

Matthew Donovan is an associate in the Regulatory Compliance & Defense practice group at Greenspoon Marder, with his practice exclusively limited to federal regulatory matters and is presently not barred in the state of Colorado. Mr. Donovan was previously general counsel for a consumer financial products company and oversaw all legal operations for the company, including human resources, regulatory, licensing, contracts, litigation, and consumer and business products. Further, Mr. Donovan implemented compliance measures, staff training, and company organizational materials. He also advised the organization on the review of their marketing strategy and implementation.

Mr. Donovan has experience with drafting and reviewing complex contractual agreements including partnership agreements, sales and purchase agreements, privacy policies, terms of service, customer agreements, and internal policies and procedures. He also provides guidance to senior management on state and federal regulatory efforts and enforcement proceedings while collaborating with stakeholders to find equitable solutions to legal issues that arise in day-to-day business practices.
