Erica D. Smith

Erica D. Smith is an experienced educational professional currently serving as a Secondary Math Instructional Specialist at Greensville County Public Schools since October 2021. Previously, Erica held the position of Director of K-12 Curriculum & Instruction at Haliwa Saponi Tribal School from July 2020 to November 2022. From August 2005 to February 2019, Erica worked at Greensville County Public Schools, FCPS, and Sussex County PS as a Secondary Math Instructional Specialist, as well as a teacher of high school chemistry, math, and physics. Erica's earlier career includes roles as a Patent Examiner at USPTO from March 1998 to January 2003 and as a Senior Specialist Engineer at Boeing from May 1990 to November 1997. Erica holds a Master of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from Howard University School of Divinity and three Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
