Director Of Security, Safety, And Emergency Preparedness at Greenville County Schools

Travis Forrester has a diverse work experience in the field of security and law enforcement. Travis started their career as a Special Agent in the U.S. Secret Service from May 2011 to April 2012. Travis then joined the Greenville County Sheriffs Office in November 2007 and served as a Sergeant until June 2018. During this time, they gained valuable experience in managing security operations. In 2018, Travis joined Greenville County Schools as the Director of Security, Safety, and Emergency Preparedness. In this role, they oversee all aspects of district security, including physical security, emergency preparedness, and investigations. Travis continues to contribute to the safety and security of the largest school district in South Carolina.

Travis Forrester holds a Master's degree in Public Administration/Criminal Justice from Liberty University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Travis also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government/Sociology from Presbyterian College, which they earned between 2001 and 2005. Furthermore, Travis has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including certifications in federal law enforcement training and active shooter instruction.
