Damon Janis

Damon Janis is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in full-stack development, specializing in Elixir and the Phoenix framework. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at GridPoint since December 2022, Damon is focused on developing advanced energy management tools. As the Owner of Contingency, a project leveraging an open-source Infusionsoft API library for Elixir, Damon demonstrates entrepreneurial skills. Previously, Damon held senior roles at Podium, contributing significantly to the migration of code from monolithic structures to more efficient services, and worked in various capacities in the dental industry. Educationally, Damon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and has held earlier roles ranging from an intern at Deloitte to founding The ACT Edge, an online ACT test preparation platform.
