Mike Ruff has a range of work experience in engineering and project management roles. Mike began their career at MBA Polymers, Inc. as an Assistant Maintenance Engineer, where they created a preventative maintenance schedule and gained insight into the functioning of a plastic recycling factory. Mike then moved on to Mondelēz International, where they completed an industrial placement in process and project engineering. During this time, they worked on projects such as reducing ambient temperature in the Jellies department and improving the quality of sweets produced in the factory. Following this, Mike worked as a Process Project Engineer at Lorien Engineering Solutions, where they were involved in various process engineering projects. Mike then joined Tradition Fine Foods Ltd. as a Process Engineer before taking on the role of Operational Excellence Manager at GWL Realty Advisors. Currently, Mike is working as a Product and Commercialization Engineering Lead at Griffith Foods.
Mike Ruff completed their Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Sheffield, spanning from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Altrincham Grammar School for Boys from 2002 to 2009. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Alliance in November 2020 and Skills For Work from the University of Sheffield in 2012.
