Melissa Gutierrez

Melissa Gutierrez has a diverse work experience in the field of digital marketing, with a focus on search engine optimization (SEO) and performance marketing.

Melissa currently works at GRIN as a Performance Marketing Lead, where they conduct extensive research and analysis to optimize content briefs, keywords, and SEM strategies. Melissa also manages influencer marketing content and collaborates with various internal teams to drive overall growth.

Prior to GRIN, Melissa worked at Scorpion as a Senior Enterprise SEO Manager, where they developed and executed SEO strategies for large brands. Melissa also handled technical SEO, site audits, and provided training materials on SEO.

Before Scorpion, Melissa gained experience at Social Studies School Service as an Editorial Assistant, where they supported the editorial team in various tasks. Melissa also worked at the University of Southern California as a Student Assistant and Assistant Lecturer, providing administrative assistance and teaching support.

Additionally, Melissa has interned at Black Box Management, worked as a Store Manager at The Avid Reader, and held positions at UC Davis as a Student Assistant II and Lab Assistant II. Melissa has experience in administrative tasks, customer service, and photography.

Melissa Gutierrez obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their AB degree in English and Spanish from the University of California, Davis, from 2007 to 2012. In addition to their degrees, Melissa has obtained several certifications, including "WordPress 5 Essential Training," "Learning Google Data Studio for Marketers," "Leadership Foundations: Leadership Styles and Models," "Make the Move from Individual Contributor to Manager," "Embracing Change (2014)," "Making Big Goals Achievable," and "Ergonomics 101."
