Umair Hamid

Umair Hamid has over 20 years of work experience in the field of IT and security. Umair is currently the VP of IT & Security at GRIN, where they have been working since 2022. In this role, Umair is responsible for analyzing IT systems, processes, tooling, and technologies to build a technology roadmap, as well as implementing infrastructure enhancements.

Before joining GRIN, Umair held various leadership positions at different companies. Umair was the Head Of IT at CaaStle from 2020 to 2022, where they were responsible for the vision, performance, and reporting of all IT programs and services. Prior to that, Umair served as the VP of IT at Workday Adaptive Planning from 2016 to 2019, where they planned and executed multi-year technology roadmaps and led IT operations and security.

Umair has also held positions such as Director of IT and Security at Glassdoor, Senior Director of IT at Centrify Corporation, and Senior Director of IT at Meebo. Throughout their career, Umair has successfully led and transformed IT departments, recruited and mentored teams, and implemented innovative solutions to drive business growth and efficiency.

Umair Hamid received a CIO Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University and another Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from Government College University, Lahore. In addition to their formal education, Umair also obtained certifications such as CIO Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University, IT Benchmarking Certificate from Stanford University, ITIL Foundations Certified from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and MCSE from Microsoft.
