Bill Wang

Bill Wang, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist II in Translational Immunology at Gritstone bio since June 2021, specializing in viral infectious diseases and utilizing mRNA vaccine technology for various vaccine developments, including HIV curative therapies and next-generation COVID-19 vaccines. Prior to this role, Bill worked as an R&D Scientist I at Miltenyi Biotec, where Bill led early-stage development of an innovative multispecific anti-HIV duoCAR-T cell therapy. Bill's extensive research experience includes fellowships at the National Institutes of Health under prominent experts such as Paolo Lusso and Anthony Fauci, as well as a position as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. Bill holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the UAB Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine.
