Brendan McVetty

Brendan McVetty has over 20 years of experience in facilities and engineering roles. Brendan is currently the Director of Facilities and Engineering at Gritstone Bio. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Facilities, Engineering, and Capital Projects at T-knife Therapeutics. Brendan also held the position of Associate Director of Engineering and Capital Projects at Audentes Therapeutics. Before moving into biotech, Brendan worked as a Senior Engineering Project Manager at Delta Project Management, where they successfully managed facility projects for Grifols Diagnostics and Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics. Brendan also has experience as a Capital Project Engineer at Novartis, an Engineering Capital Project Manager at Nektar Therapeutics, and a Plant Engineer at Bayer Healthcare. Brendan has a proven track record of executing capital projects, developing user requirement documents, and managing construction phases.

Brendan McVetty obtained a BS degree in Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1999. Brendan later pursued an MBA degree from the University of San Francisco School of Management, completing it in 2006. In 2011, they obtained the LEED AP certification from the United States Green Building Council.
