David Wasserman

David Wasserman, MBA, PMP has over 18 years of experience in IT and project management. David currently serves as the Senior Director, IT Business Partner - GXP Systems at Gritstone bio. Prior to this, David was the IT - R&D, Quality & Clinical Applications Lead at Editas Medicine from November 2020 to July 2022.

David has also held various roles at other pharmaceutical companies including Blueprint Medicines, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Bristol Myers Squibb, and Pfizer. David has extensive experience in leading the development and reporting of IT project management offices, IT service management capabilities, and enterprise training programs. David has also managed the business development and implementation of systems supporting clinical development, medical affairs operations, and field force applications.

Additionally, David has led the global medical affairs (GMA) strategy for the development and support of new solutions, created detailed strategy roadmaps, and initiated governance processes for managing business demands, resources, and budgeting cycles. David has also been involved in IT change management, software development life cycle documentation, and regulatory compliance for IT solutions and infrastructure.

David Wasserman, MBA, PMP has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from John Jay College (CUNY). David also holds an MBA in Business with IT Focus from Rensselaer at Work. In addition, David has obtained several certifications including Certified Scrum Manager from Apple Brook Consulting in 2016, ITIL Foundation and ITIL Intermediate Release Control & Validation Certified from Pink Elephant in 2014, and PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute in 2008.
