Joël Cahen is an experienced consultant and advisor in the field of cultural institutions and museum development. Since founding Cahen Consultancy in 2016, Cahen has led various projects including the development of an art cube and art garden in Willemstad, Curaçao, and served as an organizational advisor at Groninger Museum. As Project Director for the €21 million campaign for the National Shoah Museum in Amsterdam, Cahen acquired a significant property to enhance the museum's mission. Additional roles include advising on the development of a cultural center at the former Joods Werkdorp, as well as board membership at Stichting Hollandsche Schouwburg and engaging in exhibition organization for the Foundation Friends of the painter Martin Monnickendam in Germany. Cahen holds multiple advanced degrees in History and related fields from recognized institutions, and has a long-standing track record in fundraising and historical research within Jewish cultural heritage.
