Jon van Gelder

Jon van Gelder serves as the Executive Director of Grounded.org since July 2022, leading a joint initiative focused on climate philanthropy. Previously, Jon held significant roles at Frack Action, where successes included halting the largest offshore drilling lease sale in the U.S. and serving as Global Head of Impact. In a tenure at Paramount from January 2017 to August 2021, Jon significantly increased MTV News' organic reach and produced impactful video content, including investigative pieces that influenced policy changes. Other experiences include public relations roles at Shore Fire Media, where Jon led successful campaigns for notable artists and organizations, and positions in advertising and television production.
