Debra May Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Debra May is currently employed at Digitas North America as an SVP, Group Account Director, where they combine creative, technology, media, strategy, and data. Prior to this, they held the position of SVP Group Account Director at GroupeConnect and DigitasLBi_US, where they focused on client lead roles for Bank of America and other brands, delivering outstanding customer experiences through integrated campaigns. Debra May also worked as the Managing Partner at Employee Capital, SVP of Operations and Client Services at Nellymoser, and VP, Executive Director at National Public Radio, overseeing digital services and revenue growth. Before that, they served as the President/COO of Public Interactive, where they developed and marketed a suite of products for radio and TV stations. Additionally, they owned a digital strategy consultancy called Grey Market Consultants, specializing in start-ups and fundraising. Earlier in their career, they launched and operated various national broadcast program website as the VP Executive Producer at NewMarket Network and worked as a Product Manager at News Corporation. Throughout their career, Debra has demonstrated their entrepreneurial spirit, strategic leadership, and ability to surpass business goals.

Debra May Hughes holds a Master's degree in Technical and Professional Writing from Northeastern University. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in English with a focus on Technical Writing and Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
