Mauricio Cortes

Mauricio Cortes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in private equity and investment management. Currently serving as Partner and Head of the Mexico Office at ACON Investments since September 2009, Mauricio also holds board member positions at Actinver, Grupo GMI, and Citla Energy. Mauricio has been actively involved in leadership roles, including a tenure as Board Member and President of the Growth Equity Committee at the Mexican Association of PE & VC Funds. Previous roles include Board Observer at Betterware Mexico, Board Member at Hidrotenencias, S.A., and Waldos Dolar Mart Co. Additionally, Mauricio has experience as a Senior Associate at GP Investments and as an Investment Banking Associate at Citi. Educational credentials include an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
