René Morice Castro

Business Intelligence at Grupo Marta Hospitality

René Morice Castro has been working in the professional services of design, graphics and illustration since 2009. In 2008, they began their career at Ogilvy & Mather as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, where they and their team developed campaigns for international and national companies such as Coca Cola Company, Gallito, Banco de Costa Rica, Citibank, AstraZeneca, BAT British American Tobacco, and Mattel. René was also involved in the ATL introduction of the Citibank brand in Costa Rica and the launch of Coca Cola Zero in the BTL area.

In 2009, they started working as a Professional Services in Design, Graphics and Illustration Freelancer. René has worked for companies such as Leo Burnett, JWT, Garnier, Father and Ogilvy in Costa Rica, and has been part of various projects for brands such as Philip Morris, Heinz, Telefónica Movistar, Construrama, Kolby and others.

From 2013 to 2018, René worked at Grupo Marta Hospitality as the Coordinator of the Denny's Costa Rica Brand and Manager of the image of the hotels. René was in charge of developing communication strategies and plans for the Denny's restaurants in Costa Rica, and with the help of their superiors, they implemented new technologies of interaction as communication and promotion media.

In 2017, René joined Schneider Electric as a Business Intelligence & Analytics Community Manager Internship. At a global level, they managed a couple of Business Intelligence and Analytics communities with more than 2500 members. René led the community by developing activities such as webinars, trainings, animation of the internal social network and more, all being measured and analyzed. To improve the interaction and exchange of information and data, they always sought to provide effectiveness and transparency in all processes, reorganizing access to information according to the results and reports of the activities.

Finally, from 2009 to 2013, René worked at Business Solution Consulting BSC as the Head of Marketing and Advertising. The company focuses on providing TIC solutions in different areas such as the Security sector, Web Development, Management Systems, Virtualization, Process Automation and Cabling and Connectivity. Within their duties, they participated in the development of websites for private and government companies, as well as campaigns and email reports, Search Engine Marketing, Mobile Analytics and Social Media Marketing for the company.

René Morice Castro began their educational journey in 2005 when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Publicidad from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. In 2006-2007, they studied English Now, TOEIC and Exploration at Centro Cultural Costarricense. In 2008, they earned a Diplomatura in Diseño y comunicación from Aptech Educación Computacional India Nueva Delhi. René also completed Fundamentos de CobiT from ISACA, IT Service in 2011. In 2010-2012, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Mercadeo from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. In 2016-2017, they earned a Master's degree in Business Intelligence e Innovación tecnológica from EAE Business School. René also studied Idioma portugués from Fundación de Cultura, Difusión y Estudios Brasileños from 2016-2019.
